Shot a few meters away from where I stood when I captured #10 Cotton Blankets, as we made our way back to the car the brown hues of the grass combined with the very last light of the day begged one more shot. The pathway led my eye through a reverse s-curve on to the coastline, the mountain and finally onto the clouds that blanketed the Atlantic.

The selected film simulation built into the camera imparts it's tonal characteristic. It used to be a part of the photographer's skillset that allowed them to see a meaningful composition and light. To choose the best film and exposure settings to create the atmosphere they wanted to embody. I shoot with manual settings and single shot (not rapid bursts) as much as possible to recreate that authenticity. My approach with each shot is very intentional rather than 'spray and pray.' I try to impart a bit of myself into each photograph, imperfections included, rather than allowing the CPU and AI in cameras today do the work.
