Our particular artistic style is through forms of colour and monochrome photography that range from classical portraiture to straddling the line between a photograph and a fine art painting.

 

Our monochrome photography harkens back to the very beginning of the art. It presents a nostalgic and emotional rendition of moments frozen in time. Intentional manipulation of light and shadow is at the heart of this form of photography and is able to illicit mood and emotion in ways that colour sometimes just cannot. Despite today being shot in digital format, it remains the purest form of the art.

All our work is manually edited through stylus and tablet to digitally recreate what would have been brushstrokes. The artist wants you to have a piece of his artistic interpretation, this is the soul of our approach.

 

 Our approach to photography puts authenticity first. We do not rapid-fire thousands of shots then apply presets, overly false-looking skin edits that remove texture and character, and deliver an unrealistic social media filter-type rendition of you. Don't get me wrong,  we all want to feel flattered by our images.We achieve this in a realistic and artistic way through technical photographic techniques and skilled manipulation of lighting. Responsible retouching is used to bring out the emotion of the scene, and we encourage subjects to be a part of that process.

We do not place emphasis on time, our objective is for you to have an experience that you will have enjoyed, will remember fondly and depart with a tactile rendition that you would be proud to see hanging on a gallery wall, in your home or wherever suits your level of comfort.
